Modern car engines are equipped with an oxygen sensor before and after the catalytic converter.

The front oxygen sensor (ACC) of the catalytic converter is a broadband oxygen sensor that can measure the oxygen concentration in the exhaust gas in a larger range, thereby inferring the air-fuel ratio inside the combustion chamber. The engine control unit calculates the injection rate based on the oxygen sensor signal. Oil time.

The rear oxygen sensor (DCC) of the catalytic converter is used to measure the residual oxygen content in the exhaust gas. The engine control unit can infer the catalytic state of the catalytic converter based on the residual oxygen content in the exhaust gas.

In order to make the sensor enter the working state faster, each oxygen sensor is installed with a heater.

The installation position of the oxygen sensor is shown in the picture below.
